Ever wonder why you have to take gym class at school?
We have already learned how important it is to eat healthy, but it is also important to exercise and be active. Exercising helps you build a healthy and strong body while keeping you energized. With a strong body you are able to move around and do all of the things you want to do. There might be times you are exercising and don’t even know it- like reaching down to touch your toes!
Exercising also keeps your heart happy which is the most important muscle in your body. When you exercise you are helping to make your heart stronger. There are many different ways to exercise which can be very fun. Bike riding, tug-of-war, dancing and martial arts are just a few activities that make your muscles stronger and are fun at the same time.
Staying strong is important, and so is feeling good. When you exercise you feel good, and by feeling good you are able to do all of the fun things you love.
